Father of former Auburn football player goes missing: Police asking for help
Police in DeKalb, Georgia, are asking for help in the search for 68-year-old Glen Thorpe, the father of former Auburn football player Neiko Thorpe, after he went missing on Monday.
According to local news reports, Thorpe was last seen at a gas station in Decatur, Georgia, and may be suffering from dementia.
Police describe Thorpe as a 6-foot-6, 175-pound bald man with brown eyes, though did not offer a description of the clothes he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
Authorities have revealed few updates since the search for Neiko Thorpe’s father began, but they ask anyone with information to call the Special Victims Unit at 770-724-7710.

Thorpe was a fixture on Auburn's most recent national championship team in 2011, receiving multiple All-SEC honors during his career. Over four seasons, Thorpe had 279 career tackles and seven interceptions.
Thorpe went undrafted out of Auburn, starting his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs prior to a stint with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
He landed back in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders and then the Indianapolis Colts before spending the final five seasons of his pro career with the Seattle Seahawks.
Thorpe had 97 tackles, nine pass breakups, a fumble recovery, and an interception in his NFL career.
