The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have signed defenseman Adam Ginning, the club's second-round pick (50th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, to a two-year entry-level contract, according to President of Hockey Operations & General Manager, Chuck Fletcher.

Ginning, 22 (1/13/00), spent last season, 2021-22, in the Swedish Hockey League with Färjestad BK, helping win the SHL Championship with five points (3g, 2a) in 19 playoff games. He also registered one goal and four assists for five points in 51 regular season games.
Prior to playing with Färjestad BK, the 6-4, 205-pound defenseman played for his hometown team, Linköping HC, recording four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 115 games over the portions of four seasons.
A native of Linköping, Sweden, Ginning has represented Sweden on several occasions. He appeared in two World Junior Championships. He led Team Sweden as captain and won a bronze medal in 2020 with three points (3a) in seven games. He was also a member of the bronze medal winning team in the Under-18 World Junior Championships in 2017-18.
Ginning becomes the fourth member out of eight players in 2018 Flyers Draft Class to sign a contract with the Flyers.
