LEE COUNTY FAIR IN GIDDINGS OPENS THURSDAY

  

The Lee County Fair in Giddings is getting ready for three days of events starting tomorrow (Thursday).

The gates at the Giddings Fireman’s Park open tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 4:30pm, with the Mighty Thomas Carnival running from 5-11pm.  There is going to be a “Celebrity” Cooking Contest at 6pm.  The musical entertainment will be provided by the Wyatt Ellis Band and D.J. Aztex from 7-11pm.

Lonestar

On Friday, the gates open at 10am for Senior’s Day. Visiting senior citizens can enjoy Bingo beginning at 10:30am, followed by a barbeque lunch at 11:30am. The La Grange Roadrunners are going to present a square dance demonstration at 1pm.

Other activities on Friday include a Jackpot Events for beans and margaritas, a cornhole tournament, and the Mighty Thomas Carnival.  The musical entertainment gets underway at 9:30pm with the Texas Unlimited Band, followed by Lonestar.

Kody West

On Saturday, the gates open at 9am, and at that time, they will also have registration for the Classic Car Show.  Registration for the Junior Division BBQ cook contest and the Margarita Contest at 9:30am.

The Lee County Fair Parade begins at 10am, and that is going to be followed by Armed Forces Day ceremonies at 11am. Briana Adams takes the stage at 4pm to start the musical lineup.  She will be followed by Abigail Taylor at 7pm and Kody West at 10:30pm.

Season passes are available for $25. Day passes for tomorrow (Thursday) are $5 with children 12 and under getting in for free. On Friday and Saturday, the tickets are $20 per day.
