The Missouri River Regional Library Summer Reading Program is back from May 20-August 5, 2022.
The library has a variety of programs all summer long, where participants can earn prizes when they read.
Printed reading logs will be available at the library, but participants are encouraged to use READsquared online to track their reading.

Summer Reading Program Celebration Night on Friday, June 4th, 3-6 pm.
In Cole County, the celebration will be held in the library park area on the High Street side of the building.
Reading program registration information will be available for adults, teens, and children. Rebel Taco will be available for an additional charge.
In Osage County, the theme of this year's program is "Oceans of Possibilities." They will have themed activities for the whole family at the celebration.
For the Preschool Summer Reading Program (ages 4 and under):
- Requirements: 10 hours of reading and five missions from a list of fun things to do.
- Prizes: A prize bag of summer reading program-themed items, free food coupons from local restaurants, and two free books from a collection in the Children's department.
For the Children's Summer Reading Program (ages 5-12):
- Requirements: 20 hours of reading and seven missions from a list of fun things to do.
- Prizes: prize bag of summer reading program-themed items, free food coupons from local restaurants, and two free books from a collection in the Children's department.
For the Teen Summer Reading Program:
- Requirements: For every ten hours of reading, choose a free book or other items from the prize cart located in the Teen Zone at Missouri River Regional Library.
- You also earn one raffle prize entry.
For the: Adult Summer Reading Program
- Requirements: Choose from two different tracks this summer! Choose Track A to count the number of books you read or choose Track B to count the number of hours. For every 3 books or 15 hours read, earn a prize.
- Prizes: 2 free books and multiple raffle tickets!
