The unexpected plane landing that Miley Cyrus endured earlier this year has left her "a little traumatized." This is understandable, considering how that can be characterized as a near-death experience.
In March, the Wrecking Ball singer was en route to Paraguay to perform at the Asunciónico music festival when her plane encountered a really bad storm.
Miley reassured fans that she was alright at the time, but during a Monday interview on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," she admitted that she is still processing the event.
"It was really scary, I was in my mom's lap because I was pretty sure it didn't matter about the seat belts at this point... crying because I was scared," she reminisced. "It was very strange because it was unexpected weather. We had to do this emergency landing and we were in the middle of South America and I was actually on my way to a show, which by that point, had been flooded and cancelled. There was a lot going on!"
Miley continued by describing how her bandmates were determined to reach Paraguay despite the difficult conditions.
She was the lone one trying to make them see sense, highlighting the fact that there were floods even on the place they were meant to go and the stage "was sinking" already.

Miley Cyrus and her crew eventually landed safely and spent a few days in Brazil.
"We were all rather traumatized," she said.
Meanwhile, the show must go on.
Miley Cyrus will host the New Year's Eve special on NBC for the second time.
After the popularity of her show with Pete Davidson in 2021-2022, the "Midnight Sky" singer will return for the second rendition of Miley's New Year's Eve Party this year.
"I'm kind of a go with the flow kind of person, but (with) this now, it seems like I kind of know what I'm doing on New Year's forever. Which I like, because I need boundaries," she said during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, and then poking fun at herself. "I know that I have to keep my act together enough to make it to New Year. And that NBC will actually allow me to be on television because there were a couple years there where it was dicey, live TV. I wasn't asked to do a lot of live TV," she joked.
The network has not yet confirmed if Pete will return for the 2022-2023 event, but it has stated that the show's previous executive producer Lorne Michaels will also oversee this version.
Miley enjoyed working with Saturday Night Live star Pete, but she was concerned he might be late for the gig.
The former Disney star revealed that Pete continued making jokes about not turning up and she keeps falling for it, no matter how many times the joke has been made.
Noah Cyrus, Brandi Carlile, Saweetie, Anitta, and Jack Harlow, among others, performed at Miley Cyrus's New Year's Eve Party in 2013.
The performance lineup for this year has not yet been confirmed.
