WATERTOWN, S.D. (KELO.com) — When delegates to the South Dakota Republican Party meet in Watertown next month for their state convention, they’ll endorse their candidate for attorney general.
Marty Jackley announced last year that he’s in the race to get his old job back, and during his travels across the state, he says his reception has been good.
Jackley says when it comes to policing in South Dakota, people want to feel safe.
Four years ago, Jackley was running against Kristi Noem in a primary for governor, but this time around, they’re endorsing each other.
Kimball native David Natvig is also seeking the endorsement for attorney general.
Natvig is the Director of the Division of Criminal Investigation.
Incumbent Jason Ravnsborg hasn’t announced his intentions yet.
