F35 conspiracy at SANG continues

Chesterfield residents were restrained from open dialogue by Supervisor (Brad) Kersten at the April
12 public hearing (regarding) the sale of Chesterfield’s North Lagoons, violating board rules limiting
resident speakers to 3 minutes.

Selfridge came in second to Ebbing ANGB Arkansas for the F35. The F35 is an entirely new breed of aircraft. The F35’s engine produces 43,000 lbs. of thrust with afterburners, burns 1,340 gallons of fuel per hour, relies on computer assist with over 8 million lines of data.

This equates to: Noise levels of 115 decibels on the ground, 4 times louder than an F16. Burn 4.7 to
9.4 million gallons of jet fuel, emitting up to 200,000,000 pounds of CO2 equivalent to 20,000
passenger cars into the environment. A flying computer, controlling maneuverability, take-
offs/landings, weapons, requiring constant updates. For a “Fcreign Pilot Training Mission”
adjacent to where you live?

Encroachment requirements: Crash, Clear, noise zones have immensely increased into the south
end of Chesterfield.

Conspiracy on steroids, prior to purchase, without informing residents, Lagoons were named.
“Chesterfield Township’s Monarch Meadows Preserve” Preserving Chesterfield and the Future
Operations of Selfridge” a $1.6 million dollar expenditure satisfying only one crash zone. State
Rep. Hornberger fighting for $6.1 million investment in Selfridge, to purchase Chesterfield
properties, ensuring Selfridge is not encroached by residential/commercial builds.

The F-35 program drains $1.4 trillion from health care, education, affordable housing, $6.1 million from Michigan’s crumbling infrastructure, negatively affects local environment, adds to global warming. F35 military expenditures creates far fewer jobs per billion dollars spent than if the money was spent taking care of the Nation’s everyday needs.

F35s at Selfridge will not protect Chesterfield Township and Michigan residents from global warming, storms, power outages, flooding, unemployment, starvation, inflation, and pandemics. It will protect Monarch butterflies.

The $7.7 million allocated to purchase Chesterfield, public, private, and commercial properties,
only beneficiary in Chesterfield, Monarch Butterflies. No consideration for quality of life or
diminished property values for Chesterfield’s residents. This is all about money, not for the red, white, and blue, it’s for a “foreign pilot training mission” adjacent to where you live?
