KINGMAN COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 11:30p.m. Tuesday in Kingman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 2016 Freightliner semi driven by Jose Cruz Marquez Mareno, 44, Mexico, was westbound on U.S. 54 just west of South East 90th Road in the right lane.

A hard gust of wind pushed the trailer over onto its left side and came to rest in the median.

EMS transported Marquez Mareno and a passenger Jose Luis Valdez Liera, 65, Mexico, to Wesley Medical Center. Marquez Mareno was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
