RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Men's Basketball Head Coach
Matt Figger announced on Tuesday the signing of 7-0 forward
Alex Horiuk for the 2022-23 season.
Horiuk comes to UTRGV from College Prep Academy in Sacramento, Calif., where he averaged 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists per game in 2021-22.
Originally from Chernivtsi, Ukraine, Horiuk attended Jesuit High School in Carmichael, Calif., where as a junior in 2019-20, he averaged 4.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in 32 games. He was then part of a team that finished 16-0 as a senior in 2020-21.
