A new report from the First Street Foundation shows Montana's wildfire risk is going up.

A new report from the First Street Foundation shows Montana's wildfire risk is going up.

According to the organization’s fifth National Risk Assessment study, nearly 48,700 properties in Montana are now at severe or extreme risk of burning in a wildfire.
The report notes increasingly higher temperatures and persistent drought as reasons for the uptick.
