Jimmy Butler was an absolute beast for the Miami Heat as they took down the Boston Celtics, 118-107, in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat vet was locked in throughout the game as he exploded for a game-high 41 points all over Jayson Tatum and Co.

After the game, Butler was his usual jovial self. So much so, that the six-time All-Star could not help but profess his undying love for teammate PJ Tucker:

“I didn't know I would fall in love with a basketball player the way I have with PJ,” Butler said (h/t Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press).

That's hilarious. What Butler is really trying to say here is that he has so much respect for Tucker and he appreciates what he brings to the table for the Heat. Tucker is one of the toughest dudes in the NBA and he's definitely on the same wavelength as Butler. One might even say that these two are soulmates — at least in the basketball sense.

Tucker actually suffered an injury scare early in the game but he was able to return for the second half to help his team to the victory. Just another testament to the grit of one PJ Tucker.
