Several cases were recently heard in Lewis County Circuit Court:
Robert Eugene Jones, 51, Hurricane, entered a guilty plea to the charge of attempting to obtain property in return for worthless check under a plea agreement. He was sentenced to one to three years incarceration, and must pay $2,900 in restitution to Chemical Retailers. Court costs must be paid within 180 days, and court appointed attorney’s fees were waived. The remaining charges were dismissed. In March 2021, he entered a not guilty plea to two counts of obtaining property in return for a worthless check and one count of fraudulent schemes.
Joshua Dalton Donnellan, 25, Weston, entered a guilty plea under a plea agreement to the charge of attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, methamphetamine. He was sentenced to one to three years incarceration. Court costs must be paid within 180 days, and court appointed attorney’s fees were waived.
Emilee Christine Sprouse, 25, Weston, entered a guilty plea under a plea agreement to the charge of third-offense shoplifting. Her sentencing is scheduled for July 12.
Jazmen Necole Ashley Call, 29, Weston, entered a not guilty plea to the charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Her trial is scheduled for September.
Christopher James Goldsmith, 35, of Weston, entered a Kennedy plea to the charges of attempted murder and malicious assault in an alleged stabbing July 4 at Garton Plaza, according to Lewis Prosecutor Christina Flanigan.
William Andrew Sprouse, 25, Weston entered a guilty plea to the charge of fraudulent use of an access device. His sentencing is scheduled for July 15.
