SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — One man is dead after he was struck with a vehicle while riding his motorcycle on Thursday, May 12.
The crash took place near mile marker 191, approximately 11 miles north of Watertown.
Authorities say 68-year-old Andrzej Walczak, of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada, was traveling south along I-29 when he was rear-ended by a car occupied by a 19-year-old driver.
Walczak was thrown from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was wearing his helmet.
The 19-year-old car driver was not hurt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash and says charges are currently pending.
