Conor McGregor has posted a series of cryptic tweets which suggest that his long-awaited UFC return is now on the horizon.

McGregor has not made an appearance in the UFC since suffering THAT nasty leg break in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier, which was ended as a doctor stoppage, obviously.

The Irishman has been on the comeback trail for some time now, at least it has appeared that way, but we have been offered no clarity as to when he will be stepping into the octagon once again.

Could we now be on the precipice of discovering when McGregor will fight again – and who it could be against? We can offer no certainties, but the man himself has been sharing some rather cryptic stuff on Twitter.

There is nothing posted by Conor that suggests that his next fight is imminent, but it is clearly not in his thinking. You imagine his team and Dana White will have been holding discussions, looking ahead to his return.

In truth, we don’t care who he’s fighting against, we just need to see Conor McGregor back in the UFC. Thankfully, it doesn’t appear as though we’ll have to wait long for the privaledge.
