Voting is underway for the USW Local 105 decision on Arconic contract

BETTENDORF, Iowa (KWQC) - United Steelworkers will count and announce the results for the Arconic contract vote June 1, at the Waterfront Convention Center from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the USW communications.

Wednesday, hundreds of union workers showed up to the convention center to cast their votes.

The Local 105 President Patrick Stock says since they have over 1,800 union members, voting will take a little more time.

Stock says the results will be announced around 10pm Wednesday.

USW said the voting process to coordinate ratification of a master agreement across multiple states usually takes a few weeks.

That time includes time for members to review the proposed agreement on their own and at meetings with the negotiating committee, USW said.
