CIRCLEVILLE – A rumor has been swirling for months that we confirmed in March of a planet fitness in Circleville, now they have released more information on the location.
Planet Fitness is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand. Recently the chain of fitness stores was recognized as one of the top franchises in Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500®, the world’s most comprehensive franchise ranking. Of the 500 franchises recognized, Planet Fitness ranked #7 overall and ranked #1 in the fitness category for its outstanding performance in areas including unit growth, financial strength and stability, and brand power.
The location will take up two storefronts that are being made into one in the area of 1456 Circleville Plaza drive just North of Walmart. The location will be beside Grand Buffet and the Maurices taking up large square footage for the gym.
According to a representative that will manage the location the reason so many people are interested in Planet Fitness over other competitors is that they clean the gyms more, they fix broken machines quickly, and the positive body atmosphere the company adheres to.
This location will offer black card membership, massage chairs, hydromassage, tanning beds, along with gym equipment. The management said that they are not sure if the gym will be 24/7 or 24/5 at this time depending on the need in the area.
The location is already under construction, management will start with a booth outside the location in about a month to offer pre-grand opening sale memberships, and expects to open around July of 2022.
