The City of Findlay Airport has secured funds to revamp its North Aircraft Parking Apron starting in late summer.
A new concrete parking hardstand will allow larger aircrafts, provide improved drainage and have clear pavement markings thanks to a $1.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The total cost of $2,277,749 will be split between $1,797,257 from the Federal Aviation Administration, $99,848 from the state and another $99,848 from the city.
This project will also involve rehabilitating the adjacent tie-down apron on the north side and T-hangar taxi lane to the east. Those will be entirely funded by the city with requests for reimbursement from the Airport Improvement Plan where applicable.
Additional funds will be provided by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law's Airport Improvement Grant.
