PETA is offering a reward for anyone with information after a puppy was discovered with a hair tie on her mouth, causing deep wounds. The dog named Tiffany was taken to Cincinnati Animal Care by a good Samaritan. She had a hair tie around her upper muzzle, causing deep wounds and severe swelling. The puppy was found roaming Lockland streets with the hair tie around her muzzle. Video above: Diesel at Cincinnati Animal Care shelter looking for forever home.The shelter said the cut left by the hair tie went down to the bone."Luckily, in emergencies like this, animals that come to Cincinnati Animal CARE receive immediate treatment," the shelter said in a Facebook post.The shelter's on-site medical staff went to work to remove the hair tie and repair her wounds."She is resting comfortably tonight and already eating like a champ," the shelter said in a post.Right now, Tiffany is being fostered by a member of the shelter's medical team. PETA is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction on cruelty charges of the person or persons responsible. “This puppy should have been loved and cared for, but instead, someone apparently fastened a band around her muzzle, leaving her in pain and unable to eat or drink,” PETA Senior Vice President Colleen O’Brien said in a statement. “PETA is seeking the public’s help so that whoever abused this dog can be held accountable and stopped from hurting anyone else.” Anyone with information on the dog's condition is asked to call the Hamilton County Dog Wardens at 513-541-7387.
