Five Advancing To Sectional Track

Five Sullivan track and field athletes advanced out of districts and will be competing at sectionals this Saturday at Waynesville.

Sullivan’s track and field teams competed May 14 at the Class 4 District 5 meet in Washington.

Jaiden Hodges, who was all-state last year in discus, has a chance to repeat.

Hodges finished second place on Saturday.

Wyatt Kraus will compete in the 110-meter hurdles. Kraus took third in the event at districts with a personal record of 15.7 seconds.

Nick Parker took third in the long jump, moving him on to sectionals.

Aiden Kirk finished fourth in the 1,600-meter run.

Abby Peterson qualified for sectionals in the triple jump and high jump. Peterson was second in the triple jump with a personal record of 11.01 meters.

She was fourth in the high jump.
