Currently, there is no release window for the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. With the team apparently still in the early stages of development, it's likely that it will not be released until 2024 at the earliest.

However, Star Wars insider known as Bespin claims that the KOTOR remake will soon become a top priority following the release of the Fallen Order sequel later this year. This means that Lucasfilm is well aware of how fans are anticipating for the remake's release.

"From what I’ve gathered from various sources, following the Fallen Order sequel, the next game in line to release will be the Knights of the Old Republic Remake in 2023", Bespin wrote in a Jan 2022 blog post.

In mid-May 2022, Embracer Group – which owns developer Aspyr Media along with all of Square Enix’s former Western studios now – spoke about the KOTOR remake, teasing that more news about the game will be shared soon.

Matthew Karch, the founder of Saber Interactive, said that "Aspyr has gone full in to make this the best game they can make," and has also received assistance from Saber.

"We've been spending a lot of time and effort working with them to bring this title over," said Karch. "We're fully confident that the game is going to be fantastic. But it's a massive, massive product, and massive products require a lot of effort and a lot of time to make good. Especially when you're talking about a game that is already old, very old- we've had to basically remake that game from scratch. I would say within the next several months, you'll be hearing more from us about it."

However, as mentioned above, the KOTOR remake is reportedly put on hold, so it looks like fans will have to wait longer for the the remake to come out.
