Man, Woman Arrested After Meth Found During Traffic Stop

By Tom Stanton May 17, 2022 | 12:09 PM

A member of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Fugitive Task Force was on patrol near 18th and L Street around 10:00 Monday morning and saw a car that was connected to 49 year old Larry Lynch was connected to the owner.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says Lynch had two warrants out for his arrest.  Wagner says the driver of the car, 33 year old Brittany Huarcas, tossed a cigarette out the window, which led to the officer initiating a traffic stop.  Lynch was found in the passenger seat.

Wagner says deputies took Lynch into custody on his warrant and also found a baggie with 41 grams of suspected meth near where he had been sitting.  He says Huarcas had 13.3 grams of meth with her.  A state patrol drug dog was brought to the scene and sniffed out a bag with 18 grams of meth in it.

Lynch and Huarcas were both booked for possession of meth with intent to deliver and taken to the Lancaster County Jail.
