VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local organization is celebrating a new and more visible location.
The United Way of Knox County has moved into a new space at 316 Main Street in Vincennes. The organization used to be located on the third floor of Old National Bank’s former building. But the new location is on the ground level with much higher visibility as it is right in the heart of downtown Vincennes.
“We were looking for someplace to stay in the downtown area. It’s been a revitalized area, something we feel very proud about,” Executive Director Mark Hill said. “I grew up myself in the downtown area, so I feel very connected to this.”
Hill adds that the city and county governments are supporting the utilities for the new location.
