Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed the City Manager of Perryton to the state's Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees until Feb. 1, 2027, on Tuesday.
According to a press release from Gov. Abbott, David Landis, the City Manager for the City of Perrtyon, to the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which is responsible for providing a secure retirement benefit plan for eligible employees of more than 800 cities.
Along with his role as City Manager in Perryton, Landis is a member and past president of the Texas City Management Association.
In addition, he is the secretary of the Panhandle Water Planning Group, a member of the Perryton Rotary Club and a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Landis received a Bachelor of Science from New Mexico State University.
