After a slower start to his sophomore campaign where it took the forward 14 games to score his first goal of the season, Yegor Sharangovich started to find his groove once again. After scoring 16 goals in his rookie campaign, Sharangovich finished the 2021-22 season with 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points. In addition, Sharangovich was only one of four Devils players to score over 20 goals this season. We take a look at three of Sharangovich's top goals on this edition of Three Things presented by GEICO.

1. Shorthanded for the Hat-trick - Devils vs Panthers - April 2, 2022

Although the Devils fell 7-6 in overtime to the Florida Panthers, something that should be celebrated was Sharangovich's first career hat-trick. The Belarusian forward scored the opening goals in the first and second period, both of which gave the Devils a lead. Then with just over five minutes left in the period, Sharangovich scored on the breakaway shorthanded to make it 5-2 New Jersey. The goal was a sight to be seen and a four-star rating goal.

2. Game Winner vs. Tampa - Devils at Lightning - November 20, 2021

Going into the third period against the defending Stanley Cup Champs in Tampa, the Devils needed a big offensive break to get a win. Luckily for New Jersey, they did just that. The visiting team score four unanswered goals in the final frame to steak a 5-3 win over the Lightning. Going into the contest, Sharangovich was searching for his first goal of the season. He found it fourteen minutes into the game, before scoring his second in the final 11 minutes of regulation. Sharangovich's goal was the game winner to help the Devils pick up a huge road win early in the season.

3. Tying Things Up on New Years Eve - Devils vs. Oilers - December 31, 2021

When the Devils hosted the Edmonton Oilers on New Years Eve, little did everyone know this game would become an instant classic. New Jersey was down a goal in the final minute of regulation and the Devils pulled its goalie to try to get a game-tying tally. Sharangovich came to the rescue, tipping in Dougie Hamilton's shot, to tie things up at 5. The Devils went on to win the game 6-5 and end 2021 with two points.
