Aberdeen Roncalli wins Northeast Conference golf meet, Crawford finishes first

For the first time since 2012, the Roncalli girls golf team turned in a first-place finish at the Northeast Conference meet at the Moccasin Creek Country Club on Monday. 

Claire Crawford led the way for the Cavaliers, earning medalist honors.

Crawford was plus-14 on the day, turning in a round of 86. Groton's Carly Guthmiller and Roncalli's Margaret Anderson both had second-place efforts, each shooting 94. Sisseton's Ashlynn LaFromboise placed fourth with a 97. 

Roncalli's Grace Seyer was fifth with a 105, tied with Milbank's Marion Mischel. Ava Danielson of Roncalli and Jaclyn Wiik of Milbank tied for 13th, both shooting 128.

The Cavaliers easily won the team competition, shooting plus-125, followed by Milbank at plus-183 and Groton at plus-189. Redfield and Sisseton had golfers in the meet, but didn't field full teams.
