DODGE CITY -- A Dodge City woman died, and two people, including a 2-year-old, were seriously injured in a crash in rural Ford County Monday evening.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 truck driven by Dalton Kuhlman, 24, of Dodge City, was southbound on 210 Road when for unknown reasons it went left of center about a half-mile north of Antelope Road.

It collided with a northbound 2013 Ford Explorer driven by Juan Ramos-Ortiz, 25, of Dodge City.

The KHP Trooper stated both vehicles attempted avoidance maneuvers but went in the same direction and collided head-on.

Ruhlman, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Western Plains Hospital with suspected minor injuries.

Ramos-Ortiz and Miseal Ramos-Ortiz, 2, of Dodge City, were also taken to Western Plains with suspected serious injuries. Both were wearing restraints.

Another passenger in the Explorer, Angelina Perez-Velasquez, 21, of Dodge City, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

The wreck occurred about 6:45 p.m. about nine miles north of Dodge City.
