FanDuel has released betting lines for two more 2022 Penn State football games. After the sports gambling website made a point spread for four Nittany Lions contests last week, games against Ohio State and Michigan State are now available for betting purposes, as well.

All told, Penn State is a favorite in four of the six contests. And, neither opponent that they are an underdog too comes as any great surprise as head coach James Franklin’s team continues its preparations for the new season ahead.

Here’s the latest rundown.

Lions will be catching points against Ohio State

Ohio State is nearly a two-touchdown favorite over Penn State months before the Buckeyes travel to Beaver Stadium. The two sides meet on Oct. 29 in Happy Valley. A kickoff time or television assignment has not yet been announced.

FanDuel lists coach Ryan Day’s side as a 13-point favorite in mid-May (Penn State is +13.5).

According to OddsShark, Penn State was last a favorite over Ohio State in 2009. But, the 13-point mark is hardly the largest this series’ spread has ever been. In fact, last year, the Lions easily covered as 18.5-point road underdogs in a 33-24 loss at the Horse Shoe in Columbus. Head coach James Franklin’s team has covered six of the last seven meetings between the schools.

Penn State is an early home favorite against Michigan State

Penn State is lined as nearly a touchdown favorite for its season finale with Michigan State.

FanDuel currently lists the Lions as a 6.5-point favorite. The game is scheduled for Nov. 26 at Beaver Stadium. Kick time and TV info have not been released yet for this game, either.

The Lions lost 30-27 but covered as 3.5-point underdogs the last time these two Big Ten East sides met back in 2021. PSU has won two of its last three matchups opposite the Spartans.

Payton Thorne will be back under center for head coach Mel Tucker’s team. However, it must replace star tailback Kenneth Walker III.
