LE SSERAFIM Sakura Meets Her Biological Father for the First Time at Fan Event
Recently, LE SSERAFIM members Sakura and Chaewon made a guest appearance on the May 14 episode of JTBC's popular variety program "Knowing Bros."
In this episode, Sakura and the cast talked about the most memorable encounter she had with her fans during her career.
To this, the LE SSERAFIM member surprised everyone by revealing that she had met her biological father for the first time through a fan event once.
Sakura talks about meeting her father for the first time in her life
She explained that she had never met her father before due to her parents' divorce. "When I was only a one year old, my parents got a divorce. So I had never seen my [biological] father before, and I have never even seen a photo of him. I didn't know what his face looked like," Sakura began.
She added that she first met her biological father during a fan event in her hometown in Japan, and that she had immediately recognized him after he revealed himself as her biological father.

Sakura talks about meeting her father for the first time in her life
Sakura then described the experience and what she felt meeting him for the first time, saying, "When I held my first fan handshake event back in Japan, this one man came and told me, 'I am rooting for you.' As soon as I shook his hand, he said, 'I am your father.' I knew, 'This man is my father.' I felt it right away."
She continued, "He just said that he is cheering me on. I didn't know he was a fan, but I felt that there was something."
The "FEARLESS" hitmaker then revealed she also met her grandmother during the fan event after her father, who asked the idol if she remembered both her and her father.

"As I was thinking that the man was my father, the next person in line was a woman. It was my grandmother. She suddenly asked me, 'Don't you remember us?' So I knew then that the man was really my father," Sakura added.
After the cast members got over their surprise at her story, they asked Sakura if she had ever seen her father again after that instance, to which she revealed that she had not seen him since then.

Meanwhile, following LE SSERAFIM's debut back on May 2 with their first mini album "FEARLESS" and its title track of the same name, the group has been busy promoting their album on various music shows.
The group recently won their first music show win on SBS MTV's "THE SHOW" after eight days since their debut. More recently, they won first place on "Music Bank.
