Shawn Mendes is a true rockstar in the new Tommy Hilfiger ad, in which he performs shirtless to "Dancing In The Dark" by Bruce Springsteen.
Shawn, 23, sported numerous references to The Boss' Born in the USA era attire while shredding on a white Stratocaster guitar and modeling a variety of the company's polo shirts.
In addition to his chiseled abs and chest, Shawn wore classic blue jeans and a white sleeveless button-down shirt, similar to what Bruce would wear during concerts for his legendary 1984 album.
Even in his rear pocket, he carried a red, white, and blue handkerchief, a smart tribute to The Boss. Other polo shirts that Shawn displayed are navy blue and dark crimson.
The flawless rendition of the 1984 smash song and emulation of Bruce's style are the ideal way to represent the "Classics Reborn" theme of the new range.
While Shawn appeared shirtless at various moments in the video, the new ad highlights the product's classic designs built with more eco-friendly materials, and as he mentioned in his Instagram caption, he is really eager about the classic looks with a modern twist.

Shawn's naked appearance in the commercial was not the only recent instance in which he displayed his abs. Following his appearance at the Met Gala of 2022, the pop star was photographed swimming shirtless in Miami in early May.
In recent months, Shawn has also paid tribute to music giants other than Bruce. In March, Shawn previewed his new track by mimicking one of Michael Jackson's distinctive dance routines. Before releasing his most recent single "When You're Gone," the "In My Blood" singer displayed his moonwalking abilities in yet another shirtless TikTok video.

The 23-year-old hitmaker emerged from the warm water wearing black swim trunks and a gold chain while enjoying a beach day in Miami.
In the hot 90-degree Fahrenheit weather, the Treat You Better singer was observed sporting black nail polish and slicking his hair back. As he returned to his residence, the MTV Music Award winner donned a pair of cream sweatpants, clutched a navy blue blazer, and walked barefoot across the heated brick path.
