Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton grew up to be very close. Even though they don’t see each other as often as they might like, it seems that the sisters have always kept in touch.
In fact, Kate and Pippa supported each other during some of the most important events in their lives. For instance, Pippa served as a bridesmaid at Prince William and Kate’s royal wedding in 2011. And she was also present during her nephews and niece’s christenings.
Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton’s Parenting Styles Inspired By Their Mom
While speaking with Express, body language expert, Judi James claimed that Kate Middleton and Pippa’s parenting styles are similar to each other. And this isn’t surprising because they were raised by the same mom, Carole Middleton.
However, the sisters also have one key difference when it comes to their parenting techniques.
“The obviously huge difference between the sisters is that Kate never needs to be seen doing normal parenting things like carrying loads of bags or dashing off to the school run. Pippa, on the other hand, has been photographed pushing a stroller full of the usual paraphernalia of parenthood,” James said.
Whenever they are out in public, Pippa can also dress in any type of clothes that she likes. Kate, on the other hand, always needs to look prim and proper since she’s the future queen consort.
“She gets to wear things like trainers, cross-body sack-shaped bags, and comfy coats while Kate is often in full, immaculately regal tailoring with little more than a tiny clutch bag to juggle,” James said.

Kate Middleton And Pippa Middleton Mirror Each Other’s Parenting Styles
But the sisters’ parenting styles are more similar than different from each other. According to the expert, they have also been mirroring each other’s parenting techniques.
“One mirrored behavior seems to be the way both women create head closeness with their children as often as possible, carrying them in a way that allows them to share experiences and sights with their children when they are small, as well as keeping closely tuned in to them and able to communicate via tie-signs rather than bending and using bouts of eye contact. Kate has done this a lot with little Louis and Pippa has done the same with Arthur,” James said.
Kate and Pippa are also dubbed as calm mothers. The former appears to be conscious of how she interacts with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis when they’re out in public. After all, she represents Queen Elizabeth and the royal family.
“When she has needed to ‘speak to’ little George and Charlotte she tends to be loving but also firm, bending to their height to talk to them in a way that looks calm but which appears to work. This tends to suggest quite a lot of discussion and prepping behind the scenes to ensure her children get the fact that, as young royals, they need to be seen to look well behaved,” James explained.
Kate Middleton And Pippa Middleton Very Competitive In Sports But Not With Each Other
In the book Kate: The Future Queen, royal author Katie Nicholl describes the sisters’ relationship with each other. She said that Pippa was always more athletic than her older sister, but they bonded over their love for sports.
Their former coach also told Nicholl that Kate and Pippa have always been competitive when they’re on the field but never towards each other.
“They had such drive and were very competitive, particularly Pippa. They were very much a team,” their coach said (via The List).
