Man Arrested Following Short Foot Chase With Officers

A Madison County man was arrested on Monday morning following a foot chase with Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies.

 

35-year-old Jeffrey Wayne Farmer, of Berea, was pulled over around 10 miles north of London, near KY-909 at around 2:00 AM. He is said to have been in possession of suspected meth and heroin.

 

While officers were conducting an investigation, Farmer took off on foot but was arrested shortly after.

 

He now faces charges of public intoxication, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Farmer is currently being held in the Laurel County Correctional Center on a $10,000 cash-bond.
