Central's 7th grade girls track team takes 2nd at Prairieland Conference meet

The 7th grade girls Kewanee Central track team earned the runner-up spot at the recent Prairieland Conference Meet.

The girls set two records at the meet:

  • The 4x1 relay team set a new conference record of 55.49.
  • Jendayia Crowe tied the High Jump record of 4'10".

It has been a very successful season with awards for team champions of the Geese Relays and Runner-Up at the Orion Invite, Sherrard Relays, and Galva Invitational.

There have been several new school records set and they were set to participate in Sectionals last week.
