Woman’s Day New Zealand, in its May 16, 2022 issue, reported that Kate Middleton is on a two-week countdown to Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. While the rest of the United Kingdom is already feeling festive about the upcoming royal events, the wife of Prince William is allegedly not so excited.
Sources told the entertainment news publication that Kate Middleton’s heart “sank” when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced last week that they would be attending the revelries alongside their children – Archie and Lilibet.

However, just a few minutes before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their announcement, Queen Elizabeth made it clear that only the working members of the royal family would appear on the balcony for the RAF flypast.
An unnamed informant said:
“The timing of all this shows Meghan and Harry are again spoiling for a fight with the family, and Kate suspects she’ll be dragged into it all over again. After all, she’d know – Meghan went for her during her interview with Oprah Winfrey, knowing full well palace protocol prevents Kate from defending herself. Kate can’t believe that she, as a future queen, is having to deal with all this. Meghan would know Kate is a sensitive person, and this would be getting to her.”
Insiders close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry claimed they intend to grace the historic Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral on June 3, setting the scene for a tense reunion echoing the last time they were in the same room with Kate Middleton and Prince William at a Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.
The informant stated:
“Kate is dreading the whole thing. Unlike Meghan, she’s no actress and finds it difficult to mask her true feelings.”

Royal sources claimed the palace is bracing itself for Meghan Markle’s return after more than three years of “damaging headlines coming’ from the Sussex camp in Montecito, California. An unidentified tipster shared:
“Palace staff are expecting a laundry list of requests to come in from the Sussexes’ assistants any day now. They’re consistently headstrong about security, will most likely want some office space, and will no doubt be trying to push their kids front and center wherever they can. Not to mention rumors that they’ll use the trip to gather more fodder for their Netflix documentary and Harry’s impending memoir.”
Kate Middleton, for her part, would focus on supporting Prince William ahead of his reunion with his estranged brother, Prince Harry. A source told Woman’s Day New Zealand:
“Kate’s trying to get her head right for that. She’s trying her best not to worry about Meghan’s presence and instead be there for Wills, who’s also stressed about whether his brother will overshadow the Queen’s special day.”

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton and Prince William released a joint message to British citizens on Sunday to mark mental health awareness week, just as Meghan Markle also shared a special announcement of her own from the U.S.
Express U.K. reported the Cambridges took to the airwaves as part of their mental health awareness week schedule and delivered a poignant one-minute-long joint message to Britain. Prince William said:
“We can all feel lonely sometimes… we can feel it for many different reasons.”
Kate Middleton added:
“But we can all help each other feel less isolated and more connected. If you think someone you know might be feeling lonely, just give them a ring, send them a text, or knock on the door.”
The message of Kate Middleton and Prince William coincided with the announcement of Meghan Markle about joining the Marshall Plan for Moms. The Duchess of Sussex also shared the National Business Coalition for Child Care to expand childcare in the U.S.
