Police searching for vehicle involved in pedestrian hit and run

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Police need the public’s help in finding a vehicle involved in a hit and run that sent a woman to a Memphis hospital.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday, May 16, in the 3500-block of East Highland Drive near the National Road intersection.

According to the initial incident report, 19-year-old Ashley Nicole Blazer of Bono suffered serious injuries when an unidentified vehicle hit her as she crossed the road.

Police said the vehicle, believed to be a gray or silver SUV, then drove away from the scene.

A medical helicopter flew Blazer to Regional One Health in Memphis with undisclosed injuries.
