ECSO: Two dead, infant unharmed after murder-suicide in West Pensacola

A man and woman died in an apparent murder-suicide in West Pensacola on Monday afternoon, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

The incident was reported at about 4 p.m. at the Stoddert Place Apartments on Tiger Lily Drive, according to an ECSO spokesperson.

According to the ECSO, the deceased were a couple, and the man shot the woman before shooting himself. There were others in the home at the time of the shooting, including the couple's infant, but no one else in the residence was harmed.

The child was safe and in the care of a relative, according to the spokesperson.

The identities of the deceased have not been released.
