Concordia boys place third in NCKL meet

CLAY CENTER — The Concordia High School boys' track and field team placed third in the North Central Kansas League meet on Friday.
Getting event wins by Toby Wahlmeier, Alec Francis and Cody Trost, Concordia scored 117 points in the meet.
Wamego captured the team title with 132 points. Marysville was second with 126.
The Concordia girls placed sixth in the meet with 50 points.
Abilene won the girls' team title with 137 points. Chapman was second with 109 and Marysville was third with 106.
Wahlmeier turned in a time of 11.26 to place first in the 100-meter dash for the Concordia boys. He was also second in the 200-meter dash (22.56).
Alec Francis went 20-6 ½ to finish first in the long jump for the Panthers.
Trost won the triple jump with a best of 40-9 and Francis was second (40-6).
Concordia had Tyler Hobrock place second in the high jump (6-0) and the discus (135-4 ½).
Cav Carlgren finished second in the 300-meter hurdles (41.76) and fourth in the high jump (5-10).
Aceyn Cash was fifth in the high jump (5-8).
Keyan Miller placed second in the shot put (45-3 ¾).
Taye Retter finished second in the javelin (146-0).
Aidan Poore placed second in the pole vault (12-6).
Concordia's 4x100-meter relay team of Wahlmeier, Miller, Poore and Chayton Alquist-Pennell was second (44.17).
Wahlmeier, Kaide Gropp, Drew Sterrett and Cameron Cleveland finished fourth in the 4x400 relay (3:33.96).
Cole Hobrock was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles (17.77) and sixth in the 300 hurdles (17.94).
Torxsten Kindel placed sixth in the 110 hurdles (17.94).
Concordia's 4x800 relay team of Cash, Carlgren, Alan Garcia and Alexis Garcia finished fifth (8:33.86).
Alan Garcia placed sixth in the 800-meter run (2:10.15).
The Concordia girls had Carlie Carlgren win the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.71. She also placed third in the 300-meter hurdles (49.91).
Jara Nordell finished second in the high jump (4-10).
Ashley Bartlett placed second in the shot put (32-6 ¾).
Teggan Workman finished second in the javelin (102-9) and Taylor McDaniel was sixth (92-6).
Jaida Koester placed fourth in the 100-meter dash (13.29), fourth in the triple jump ( 33-5 ¼) and fifth in the long jump (15-9 ½).
Concordia's 4x100 relay team of Kylee Hower, Bailey Buckley, Tessa Christenson and Aubrey Stahlman placed sixth (55.10).
