Wyoming police: Man shot during targeted robbery

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was shot during an armed robbery inside his home in Wyoming Monday and officers are looking for three suspects, police say.

It happened around 6:10 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Prairie Parkway SW near Byron Center Avenue.

Four armed suspects entered into the home to rob it, the Wyoming Department of Public Safety said in a release. The victim was shot, police say.

Wyoming police say the victim also shot at the suspects but it is not yet known if any of them were hit.

The 23-year-old victim was brought to the hospital where he is in stable condition, authorities say.

Officers were able to bring one of the four suspects into custody after receiving tips from residents about a suspect running through backyards, police say. The other three suspects have not yet been arrested.

Police believe the robbery was targeted and not random.
