STANFORD, Ky. (FOX 56) – A traffic stop Monday led to an arrest in Lincoln County.
A Lincoln County police sergeant stopped a vehicle near U.S. 27 South near a high school around 1:18 a.m.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, the officer had reasonable suspicion of drugs and deployed a K9 unit. The K9 alerted, and the sergeant began a search.
A small purple stuffed animal was found, and authorities said inside the frog was a baggy of suspected methamphetamine.
The driver was charged with possession of methamphetamine and speeding.
