Hollyoaks to kick off Cleo McQueen's exit story in new scenes

Cleo McQueen's exit story has been detailed as she faces a decision in upcoming Hollyoaks scenes.

Cast member Nadine Mulkerrin is currently on maternity leave as she is expecting her and co-star Rory Douglas-Speed's second child, so the soap is set to temporarily write off her character Cleo soon.

With Cleo's romance with Joel Dexter being called off once again recently, the nurse receives an unexpected job offer that would completely change her life.

The soap has already revealed that Cleo will be offered a research project in India, after her boss Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) nominated her for the role several months ago.

Cleo will understandably have doubts about taking the job, leaving the rest of the McQueens to rally around her at this important moment.

Theresa McQueen wants Cleo to realise how pivotal this decision could be for her nursing career, so goes to an unexpected source to encourage her relative to make the right choice.

Will Cleo decide to give up her life in Hollyoaks to start over in India? These scenes will be airing next week on E4 and Channel 4.

Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed announced at Christmas that they were expecting their second child when they shared a photo of 2-year-old son Reggie staring at a sonogram.

On screen, things have been a bit less gleeful for Cleo and Joel as they split up last week due to interference from Verity Hutchinson's incel brother Eric Foster.

Hollyoaks now streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
