PORTERVILLE, Calif. (FOX26) — Multiple agencies battled a fire Monday afternoon near Success Drive and Springville Drive just east of Porterville.

The Tulare County Fire Department said crew members worked alongside those from the Porterville City Fire Department and Cal Fire to put out a grass fire in the Tule River.
According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, the fire began just after 1 p.m.
Fire officials say the flames burned 25 acres and the fire is now 100 percent contained.
The Tulare County Fire Department also mentioned that 30 structures were threatened but none were damaged. They also mentioned that the voluntary evacuation order has been lifted for those nearby.

Officials say there have been no reported injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
