A mother is searching for answers after her adult son disappeared a month ago.
The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help in finding him. Stephen Tyler Johnson, 26, of Campbell County, was reported missing on April 16.
His family just wants to make sure he's safe and sound.
Christie Johnson isn't sure what to make of her son's disappearance.
"I don't know where he is. I don't know what's happened to him. I don't understand," Johnson said.
Johnson said the last time she saw him, he wasn't in a good frame of mind. She said her son left upset and wouldn't say where he was going. Now, she just wants him home.
"I love him and I want him to come home and his family loves him. He's got a little boy who just turned seven and he loves him too. We need him in our lives," Johnson said.
She said her son has a good heart and most people who know him, love him.
Tracy Emerson, captain of investigations with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office, said they've been trying to research where the man may have been and who he may have had contact with. Emerson said they're concerned he's not using his cellphone, and they haven't seen activity on his financial accounts. That leads them to believe he's somewhere where he's not able to take care of himself.
Now, they're asking for help.
"If someone has given him a ride or helped him or assisted him, of course, we're glad they've done that. We just need the help to figure out where he's at," Emerson said.
The Sheriff's Office said Johnson was last seen walking near the area of Lee Place in Campbell County.
His mom just wants him back, alive and well.
"We just want to bring him home," Johnson said.
