The Brown County Sheriff's Office said a deputy responded to Love Day Road to investigate a report of a missing person who lived there.
The missing person, identified as Anthony Schneider, 46, was reported missing by his brother Brett.
Schneider was last seen on April 5.
A check of the cell phone belonging to Schneider indicated that the phone was used on Love Day Road on April 6.
On April 13, detectives from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to Love Day Road and met with relatives of Schneider to search the property in an attempt to locate him. But the search was unsuccessful
On May 14, a detective met with members of North Star International Search and Recovery and Ohio Land Search and Rescue to conduct an extensive search of Love Day Road.
During the search, skeletal remains were located on the property of Love Day Road. The remains were turned over to the Brown County Coroner’s Office for testing and identification. There is no indication of foul play at this time.
