As expected Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry won’t be available for Game 1 of the best-of-seven series with the Boston Celtics that begins Tuesday in South Florida.

Lowry, who is battling a hamstring injury, only played three games in the Heat’s first-round series against Toronto (Games 1-3) and twice (Game 3 and 4) in the second round win over the Philadelphia 76ers and wasn’t at full speed even when he did play.

During the regular season, he started 63 games and averaged 13.4 points, 7.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.

He had 23 points and 8 assists against the Celtics in the Heat’s 106-98 come-from-behind win on March 30.

Celtics guard Marcus Smart is questionable with a foot sprain.
