A man is dead after he was struck by a train Monday afternoon in Shepherdsville.Police said the incident happened after 2 p.m. on Adam Shepherd Parkway near North Buckman Street.According to details from Shepherdsville police, witnesses told officers that the man was walking, looking at his phone, when he made his way onto the tracks. He was then struck by the southbound train.Investigators said all safety measures were in place when the incident happened, including the railroad lights being on, the crossing arms were down and the train was sounding its horn.Police have not determined how the man was able to walk through the crossing without noticing the oncoming train.
