THE MAN DRIVING THIS MOTORCYCLE IS NOW CONSIDERED A SUSPECT BY DETECTIVES IN LAWRENCEBURG. HERE’S WHY JUST BEFORE SIX LAST NIGHT. THIS SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWS A GROUP OF MOTORCYESCL STOPPING BEHIND AND NEXT TO A BLACK MERCEDES-BENZ CONVERTIBLE SECONDS LATER. THAT’S WHEN POLICE SAYHE T DRIVER OF THE CONVERTIBLE LTOS CONSCIOUSNESS AFTER BEING BATTERED VEERED ACROSSHE T CENTER LINE AND RAN INTO A PICKUP TRUCK. THBO DRIVERS SHOULD BE OKAY THE DRIVER OF THE BLACK PASSENGER CAR ABOUT 68 70 YEARS OLD MALE DRIVER A HNDE RESIDES HERE IN INDIANA. HE WAS CONSCIOUS AT THE SCENE. THE ELDERLY MALE THAT WAS DRIVING THE BLACK VEHICLE. DISORIENTED AND CONFUSED TAYLOR SAID INVESTIGATORS ARE STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THE MAN ON THE MOTORCYCLE DECIDED TO SWING AYWA THE HOPE IS THAT TIME WILL JOG THE MEMORY OF THE MAN WHO GOT PUNCHED. HE WASN’T RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL TILL LATE LAST NIGHT. AND SO WE’RE GOING TO DO SOME FOLLOW-UP TO SEE WHAT HE RECAL LS AND FIND OUT MORE INFORMATION. NOW THIS AFTERNOON POLICE HERE IN LAWRENCEBURG DESCRIBED A MAN ON THE MOTORCYCLE AS A WHITE MAN WITH A MUSTACHE AROUND 40 YEARS OLD STANDING SIXNE O WEIGHING AROUND 230 POUNDS REPORTING LIVE TONIGHT IN LAWRENCEBURG, TODD -- WLWT NEWS 5 AND TODD BASED ON THE VIDEO. IT LOOKS AS THOUGH A WOMAN WAS RIDING ON THE BACK OF THE MAN’S MOTORCYCLE AT POLICE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT HER. THEY HAVE ACTUALLY, YOU KNOW AND AN EFFORT TO IDENTIFY THE MAN WHO WAS DRIVING THE MOTORCYCLE. THEY DID POINT OUT THAT THERE WAS A FEMALE PASSENGER ON THE BACK AND THEY SAID, YOU KNOW, SHE WAS WEARING A RED HELMET NOW. A man driving a motorcycle is now considered a suspect by detectives in Lawrenceburg.That's because a little before 6 p.m. Sunday, surveillance video captured a group of motorcycles stopping behind and next to a black Mercedes Benz convertible. Seconds later, one of the bikers is on his feet, pummeling the driver of the car with a half-dozen punches."It was very disturbing, upsetting," said Greendale police Cpl. Pam Taylor.Greendale police detectives are investigating what happened after the motorcycle rider's fist went flying on U.S. 50 next to the entrance of Hollywood Casino in nearby Lawrenceburg."Subsequently, the driver of the black vehicle had an accident just a few feet down the road," Taylor said.The crash happened about a half-mile away, just inside Greendale. That's when police said the driver of the convertible "lost consciousness" after being "battered," veered across the center line and ran into a pick-up truck.Both drivers should be OK."The driver of the black passenger car — about 68, 70 years old, male driver — and he resides here in Indiana," Taylor said. "He was conscious at the scene — the elderly male that was driving the black vehicle — just disoriented and confused."Taylor said investigators are still trying to figure out why the man on the motorcycle decided to swing away. The hope is that time will jog the memory of the man who got punched."He wasn't released from the hospital until late last night. And so we're going to do some follow-up to see what he recalls and find out more information," Taylor said.Monday afternoon, Lawrenceburg police described the motorcycle rider as a white man with a mustache, about 40 years old, standing 6 feet, 1 inch and weighing 230 pounds.
