After the Phoenix Suns lost Game 7 to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith called out Devin Booker, Chris Paul and the rest of the Arizona-based franchise for their “pathetically awful” performance in the contest.

Smith highlighted that both Book and Paul were no-shows, with the two combining for just 21 points on a combined 7-of-22 shooting. In contrast, Luka Doncic alone dropped 35 points and 10 rebounds in the Mavs' 123-90 victory.

The problem for Smith, however, is that he tagged the WRONG Devin Booker. Instead of the Suns' star, he mentioned the American hooper with the same name but is suiting up for Turkish club Fenerbahçe. Yikes!

In a hilarious turn of events, the wrong Booker responded and mocked Smith by saying he didn't know he needed to show up. Unfortunately, he was not able to because he was in Istanbul preparing for another game.

Props to the “wrong” Devin Booker for that rather perfect response. Now that's how you handle an unexpected call-out from one of the sport's most popular analyst and commentator.

For those who thought that it was the Booker playing for the Suns and simply making excuses (which really doesn't make sense), then better take a good look at the guy once again.

As for Stephen A. Smith, we all want him to know that the Twitter handle of the Suns' Booker is @DevinBook.
