DeFUNIAK SPRINGS — Three people, including two teenagers, were injured in a crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 331 and Rock Hill Road in Walton County on Monday.

A 17-year-old driver reportedly crossed into the path of another vehicle about 7:30 a.m. while traveling through the intersection, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.

FHP troopers said the teen violated the right of way of the other vehicle. Both vehicles had multiple airbag deployments and were immobilized in the road. A trooper pushed the vehicles out of the way using his patrol vehicle.

According to the FHP, the teen told troopers a vehicle turning right onto Rock Hill Road had screened her vision so she could not see the second vehicle approaching.

The 17-year-old Ponce De Leon girl and a passenger, a 16-year-old Ponce De Leon boy, suffered minor injuries. They said they would seek medical attention when they left the scene, the FHP reported.

The driver of the second car, a 37-year-old Freeport woman, was taken to an area hospital by ambulance to be treated for minor injuries.
