West Ham want to reward Jarrod Bowen with a new contract which will likely see the impending England international double his wages.

West Ham want to tie Jarrod Bowen to a new deal that would see him triple his wages

Kurt Zouma is currently West Ham’s top earner on £125,000 a week.

Bowen could surpass that figure, though Declan Rice will eclipse them both if he agrees to sign a new long-term £200,000-a-week deal.

A big summer awaits Bowen, who is expected to be rewarded with an England call-up from Gareth Southgate for June’s Nations League games.

He was in line to be named in Southgate’s squad in March but a heel injury robbed the 25-year-old of that opportunity.

West Ham boss David Moyes wants to reward the winger for his excellent performances

He is popular player at West Ham, and opinion at the club is that Bowen would be worthy of an England call-up and a new contract.

Manager David Moyes has given the new deal his blessing, having praised his player for being a grafter - something he appreciates more than talent.

Moyes is also keen to improve his squad this summer. The club made three £50million-plus bids for players in January, including Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips, but none was accepted.

However, Moyes is expecting to be backed in the next transfer window.
