A man has been arrested, accused of shooting a 60-year-old woman last week on Partridge Street.
Raheem Hines, 44, of Albany, was arrested Monday morning following an investigation by detectives.
On Tuesday, May 10, 2022 around 4:45 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Partridge Street between Hamilton Street and Madison Avenue for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 60-year-old woman inside her home with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, Hines had walked onto the front porch of the victim’s home and shot her through a front window while she was inside.
On Monday, May 16, 2022 around 10:00 a.m., detectives stopped Hines on North Allen Street between Chestnut Street and Lancaster Street in reference to the investigation. A loaded 9mm handgun was also recovered.
Hines has been charged with Attempted Murder 2nd, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.
In addition, Tanisha Hines, 43, of Albany who was with Mr. Hines during his arrest on North Allen Street where the handgun was recovered, was also charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.
Both were arraigned this afternoon in Albany City Criminal Court.
Mr. Hines was remanded to the Albany County Jail, and Mrs. Hines was arraigned and bail was set at $75,000
