Initially, Jennings committed to Kansas State back in January. However, in mid-April, the former 4-star linebacker opted to enter his name into the portal again. Now, he’ll start his career back up at UCF.

Jennings, a Jacksonville, Fla. native, will be playing much closer to home.

As a true freshman in 2021, Jennings saw plenty of playing time for the Terrapins. He appeared in 8 contests and made 3 starts at linebacker. He was credited with 23 stops, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble during a 6-6 regular season.

Jennings will have 3 years of eligibility to use at UCF. He joins a Knights squad that finished with a 9-4 record in 2021, Gus Malzahn’s first year leading the program.

Jennings was a consensus 4-star prospect as a high school recruit. He was ranked as the No. 108 overall player in the 2021 recruiting class and the No. 12 linebacker of the cycle, per 247Sports composite rankings.
